  The entry above is part of the School Inspector's report recorded on 2nd March 1917, and it reads:
"I can only add that it was a pleasure and a delight to hear their intelligent answers and very sweet singing".

Another favourable report for the Llanidloes infants, this time from an entry recorded on 11th July,1930 which reads:
"...They are all bright and happy in their work. The answers were generally ready and intelligent, sometimes astonishingly so for such young children. General mark awarded 'Excellent' ".
