Further examples taken from the School Log Books of the high standards achieved by the infants at the National School in Llanidloes over the years are shown here.

  The entry above is part of the School Inspector's report recorded on 2nd March 1917, and it reads:
"I can only add that it was a pleasure and a delight to hear their intelligent answers and very sweet singing".

Another favourable report for the Llanidloes infants, this time from an entry recorded on 11th July,1930 which reads:
"...They are all bright and happy in their work. The answers were generally ready and intelligent, sometimes astonishingly so for such young children. General mark awarded 'Excellent' ".
