Proclamation of King George V

  A new king
A special day for the children of the Infants School at Llanidloes in 1910 was recorded in the School Log Book. This refers to the official Proclamation of King George V on his accession to the throne in May 1910, read by the mayor of Llanidloes.

  The above entry was written on 13th May 1910, and reads:
"On Wednesday 11th inst. the children assembled in front of the Town Hall in order to hear the Proclamation of King George V read, by the Mayor".
