Powys Digital History Project  Llanidloes manuscript
Welcome to our pages on the local history of Llanidloes and the surrounding district in the ancient county of Montgomeryshire in mid-Wales. The town itself has medieval origins and is the first town on the River Severn.
Select from the list below for particular aspects of the past of this Severn valley community.
As with the other communities on the website, we have been using original archive documents, early school logbooks, old photographs and other sources to tell some of the story of the area.
