Seven years transportation for theft
Just as women were subjected to being whipped in much the same way as men when they were convicted of a felony, they also received similar treatment in the case of transportation.
The records of the Quarter Sessions contain many references to the sentencing of women to transportation for many years, often for what seem today to be very minor crimes. One such example is shown below.

The extract shown here, from the Order Books of the Breconshire Quarter Sessions, reads as follows:
"Ordered that Ann Stote who was convicted at this Quarter Sessions of Stealing a Surplice be Transported for the Term of seven years to one of his Majesty's Settlements abroad."
