Local historian and former engineer at the "Tick-Tock", Mr Mansel Jones has recorded the history of the watch and clock industry in the Upper Swansea Valley and has kindly made his research on this important aspect of the economic and social history of the area available to the project. This is an edited version of the above book. Not included here is the contribution by Mr J.A. Delaney, retired works manager in the latter years of the Anglo-Celtic Watch Company Ltd - "The Watchmaking Years (Manufacturing)". The work is in a foreword and three parts. |
