The Brecon and
Abergavenny Canal
  What was transported on the canal ?  
  Coal, coke, limestone, iron, timber, bricks and agricultural produce would have been transported to wharves along the route. Here it would have been unloaded and perhaps stored in warehouses.
The document shown here listed the amount of goods carried on the canal in 1825.

On the Brecon and Abergavenny Canal there were wharves at Pontypool, Llanfoist, Goytre, Gilwern, Govilon, Llangattock and Brecon.
