up to provide services to the construction workers' community.
The River
Plate Meat Company Company provides meat to the thriving community.
The River Plate is in South America in an area known for cattle rearing.
Perhaps this meat was imported for the workers.
Mr John Roberts is running a Chemists
and Post Office in the valley, and
Seth Thomas a Grocers and drapers
(selling cloth).
The engineers
working on the great construction of the dams and reservoirs are also
listed.
