Slater's Directory 1858: gentry and clergy  
  In the extracts below we can see the rest of the gentry and clergy entries for the area.
Among them we can see the most important local landowner, the Earl of Powis. The 'Right Honourable' next to his name means that he was one of Queen Victoria's advisors.
The publishers of the directory were unused to Welsh names and so there are some unusual spellings at times !
