Here are further entries for the community of Llangorse. They are taken from the "commercial" section and show what people were doing to earn a living there in 1895.
Again we can see local people renting accommodation and boats to tourists.

The publishers of the directory were unused to Welsh names and so there are some unusual spellings at times! Can you recognise any of them?

The surnames are first
Sometimes the way the words are shortened to make them fit the page is confusing.
James [Jas.] Williams for example is a monumental mason.
He made his living carving gravestones and ornaments for the grander houses and churches.
