The above figures for Llanfilo also include Llandefaelog Tre'r Graig. In Victorian times the vast majority of people in this rural area earned their living on the land in some way. As well as farmers and farm workers, there were farm servants, shepherds, blacksmiths, millers, carters and cart makers who all depended on farming for their living.
