The actual recorded figures were:-

In the year 1841 - 822 people
In the year 1851 - 768
In the year 1861 - 720
In the year 1871 - 748
In the year 1881 - 681
In the year 1891 - 597
In the year 1901 - 559

The published report which gave these census figures said that the population of Llanwrin parish had gone down in 1851 because of emigration. The graph above shows us that the overall population trend continued downward, despite the slight rise in 1871.

By the end of Queen Victoria's reign the population of this country parish had fallen to just 559 people.
