Directory of North Wales 1889 tells
us more about the town of Llanfair and the surrounding communities, and
the people who made their living there.
By this time most local tradesmen can see the advantage of being in this kind of directory. In the earlier ones some tradesmen didn't want to be included.
We can see the same kind of tradesmen
as listed in Pigot's Directory, and now there is a
bank to keep their money safe.
In Victorian times a great many ordinary working people would have never
gone into a bank in their lives.
