In the year 1851 - 1037
In the year 1861 - 1203

Most people in the parish were farmers, farm labourers or farm servants, but there were also craftsmen and tradesmen. (See pages on Earning a Living).
In 1861 work was going on constructing the railway line which just enters Beguildy parish by Knucklas. Perhaps some local people were working on this project. After 1861 the numbers of people fell.
Compare this graph with those of other large rural parishes in the area like Bleddfa or Stanage.
