In the year 1861 - 1203
In the year 1871 - 1123
In the year 1881 - 994
In the year 1891 - 907
In the year 1901 - 799

 
  Most people in the parish were farmers, farm labourers or farm servants, but there were also craftsmen and tradesmen. (See pages on Earning a Living).
In 1861 work was going on constructing the railway line which just enters Beguildy parish by Knucklas. Perhaps some local people were working on this project. After 1861 the numbers of people fell.
