Partrishow is a small Black Mountain border parish. In Victorian times the local people were mainly farmers, farm workers
and shepherds. Although just a few miles away the population in Victorian times was tiny compared to Llanelly parish for example.
Compare the overall trend with that of other rural parishes like Llanbedr or Llanfihangel Cwmdu.
Is the overall trend the same?
Why do you think the population declined towards the end of the Victorian period?
