Powys local history
for teachers
  Who built the website ?

Gavin Hooson (Project Leader)
Gavin came to Powys as a teacher in 1976 since when he has worked as an archaeologist and arts administrator before joining the county's Library and Archives Service. He has worked in different sections of the Service for the last 13 years before joining the Powys Digital History Project at its inception in June 1998.
Gavin's background and experience have given him an unrivalled knowledge of and enthusiam for the history and topography of Powys, and the original idea for the Project owes a great deal to Gavin's creative thinking.
