This is an attractive old photograph from just after the end of the Victorian age, probably around 1904.
It was taken in Scottleton Street in Presteigne, and the buildings shown in the picture look very much the same today.

The boy nearest the camera is carrying a large basket, and was probably delivering supplies for one of the local shopkeepers.
